On-campus housing is prioritized for exchange students. On-campus living offers convenient access to everything the campus has to offer--the library, computer labs, dining services and recreation facilities. Living with Korean roommates will be another great opportunity to learn Korean Language and culture. The university housing consists of double occupancy rooms furnished with Internet access, twin beds, mattress pad, desk and chair, and closet. Each dormitory building has laundry room, computer labs,cafeteria and store, and 24-hours security. The housing fee(including three meals a day) for one semester(15weeks) is KW 1,038,300 which is approximate to $900 in USD. Off-campus housing is not available for exchange students. Upon arrival at DHU, you should pay your entire dormitory fee for each semester within the first week of your course.
Housing for Summner & Winter breaks
The university housing is available in summer and winter, during which meals are not provided. The housing fee during each break is about KW6,000($5) for single occupancy. KW12,000 for double occupancy per day. Students can get meals at near off-campus restaurants by KW4~5000($3~4) per meal. Those who participate in the free Korean language program need to stay at the dormitory five more weeks after each semester ends as the program runs for 20 weeks per semester.
If you already own a laptop, you will probably find it convenient to bring it, but if not, you can use one of the computer labs on campus. There are many available on campus and of course, they are free and all are equipped with high-speed broadband service. As an exchange student, you will get a student ID card which will give you access to all the computer facilities on campus.
